Beta Preview - Chimefall, the playing card mini-game!

July 6th, 2026
User Interface
- The item hover-over and comparison stats within the inventory has been improved for better viewing, to include class requirements, making it easier to see applicable gear
- The character stats that appear on the main left-hand panel has updated styling. Also, core character stats have been renamed: Attack Power -> Prowess; Speed -> Agility; Defense -> Toughness
- A new leaderboard modal exists that makes viewing various leaderboards much easier. The new leaderboard button is in the top-right, just under the main "Menu" button. There's also an "Instances" tab that is used for tracking completed instances, which are procedurally generated dungeons that will be released at Beta
- There's a new pop-up window that can be accessed each time you level up, making it more apparent/easier to view your increased stats; there's also special messages that can be added per class/level combination to better communicate important class-specific information
- There's a new music player modal, which can be toggled via the "Music Player" button in the main menu; oh, and new music added throughout the game, to include music on the logon page :)
- New buff icons have been added, which are apparent when you're casting a buff on yourself (or when someone casts one on you) - these replace the basic emojis that were previous used
- Room descriptions now sit on top of the main chat window, and no longer re-emit every time you move, resulting in less chat clutter. You can also drag the bar that separates the room description in the chat to re-size
Equipment
- There are now equipment slots for boots and gloves. You'll discover such items in Beta. :)
- [Beta Preview] There are also new items that can be acquired via a new currency, Adventurer's Coins, that will be obtained by completing procedurally generated dungeons - and these can be used to buy special items like: vault expansion and 1-hour long experience-boosting potions
Overhaul to Loot Drops
- Enchanted gear no longer comes exclusively from bosses; instead, any item on a monster's loot table is eligible to be dropped in an enhanced form. This effectively results in a universal two-roll system: the first roll to determine if you get the item, and a second roll to determine its rarity and enchanted potency: uncommon (breezed) gear gets 1 resonance slot, rare (zephyrian) gets 2 slots, and epic (tempest) gets 3
- In addition, a random set of combat stat(s) are randomly rolled and added to enchanted gear. So you may get a rare ring that has 2 resonance slots and other combat stats boosted (like a boon to pierce, evasion, HP/MP regen, etc.)
- [Beta Preview] You'll be able to mine and craft Overtones that will be socketed into the resonance slots
Shopping
- There are now "Buy All" options when transacting with potion vendors to easily buy the max amount of potions at once
- Item stats and comparison data has been improved when browsing store bought weapons/armor
Images
- There's new set of male/female character portraits when creating a character
- A few samples below:

Bug Fixes
- Oathkeeper's Martyr's Embrace can now be cast while in battle (previously it was only able to be used when no monsters were in the room)
- You can now use the page up/down buttons to move up and down, whether or not the chat box is focused or not
